World Card Making Day

This past Saturday was World Card Making day and Studio Calico had a whole day of challenges for the members to participate in. You can read all about the challenges and the contest that is still open to enter right here.

I do not consider myself a card maker at all but I still volunteered to host one of the challenges. My challenge to the members was to use Studio Calico digital stamps, cut files and printables to make all or some of their card.

This is the card I made for my challenge.

I used the Forest digital stamp set and cut the bear shape out of my card base with my Silhouette Cameo. I also cut two sets of the bears nose from black and brown cardstock. I used my Cameo to add text to the inside of the banner that came with the Forest stamp set and cut it twice with two different sayings.

I cut two of them because I used them on the inside cover of my card, mainly to cover the adhesive that was showing thru the vellum. The right hand side of the card is layered with brown cardstock to color the bear when the card is closed.

There are so many awesome cards being made from my challenge, you can see them all here, but here are a few favorites from the amazing members at Studio Calico.

I'm super inspired now to sit down and make a few cards, I hope the challenges inspire you to do the same.
