Project Life - Week 18

This past week was another wonderfully ordinary week and I loved it.  Lot's of fun stuff to include so another heavily edited week.  It's really hard to pick the best of the best while still trying to keep things balanced.

Here is the full spread and the left side, lots of orange and blue this week.

I made the date card using a new set of Cameo cut files that I got last week.  I love the sunbursts, it came with three others and I love them all.

Last Sunday Simone and I went and picked up Jamba Juice for all of us, yummy!

Little miss helper cleaning her windows, I'll have to save this photo for when she's a teenager to prove that she used to help us around the house.

The other slot is a photo of our new favorite book.  It's by Mo Willems, he's an amazing Children's book author and also writes for Sesame Street.  If you have kids, get some of his books, they are amazing.  The polka dot frame is from the Studio Calico Epic stamp set.

If you follow me on Instagram you already saw that I have professed this to be the Summer of Skirts.  I love skirts, especially the new maxi length ones that are so popular right now.  So easy and cool.

The Keep Calm slot was something I made, you can make your own Keep Calm posters here.  I've used them before in this album and love that I can customize them as I need.  I made this one to go with the slot below it.

Poor Simone was sick so we trucked down to the doctor Monday just to make sure she would be okay.  She seems okay now but man the allergies and cough are going around here.

A new month means a new list from @fatmumslim for the Photo a Day Instagram challenge.  I'm still going strong and haven't missed a day.  This month's list is super awesome.

Here is a look at the right side.

My sister in law had another follow-up with her hand surgeon in Roseville so that meant more shopping at Charming Charlies and a stop at Nothing Bundt Cake for some to-go goodies, rough I know.  I asked for an extra sticker, and saved the labels from the cute little cups they put the mini bundts in.  More faux Washi tape goodness.  Oh and some pretty darn good cake too!

Have you had the Dill flavored Triscuits yet...?  They are delish!  I spotted these at the store and had to bring them home.  My favorite lunch is to make some tuna salad with dill and eat it on Triscuit's.  These crackers made it even better, extra Dill!  Yum was stamped with both sets of the Stepping Stone Studio Calico alpha stamps.

Larry took Simone to Chick-fil-A the day I was with my sister in law and she came home with a hat.  He of thought it was funny to wear it one morning while making breakfast and of course I'm always armed and ready to SNAP!

Simone had a water safety demo at school and volunteered for the demo.  Hysterical!  I'm sorry I missed it but happy that Larry snapped these photos for me.

My sweet girl, we found this Unicorn at Home Goods, I couldn't resist mainly because it was only $8.00.  The journaling is the most personal I've gotten in this album, just a little mention about how we've had some issues lately.  Simone is VERY independent and wants to do things her way always.  That's not always possible so there have been a few struggles.  Nothing out of the ordinary and she will certainly figure it all out, I just felt it needed to be addressed.  I certainly don't want anyone to ever feel our lives are filled with roses and sunshine 24/7.  It's real here but we are very lucky to have a really great family.

Did you see the Super Moon this past Friday?  It was amazing and my pictures totally sucked so I found this photo online from the Sacramento Bee.  It's hard to see here but you can see Downtown Sacramento at the bottom.  A super cool photo that I wish I had taken.

Okay so you've seen this photo already but I wanted to put it in this week.  When I was working on this insert I grabbed the new Oh Happy Day Studio Calico stamps from Two Peas and felt that several could easily work on this insert.  It was kind of fun to see how many stamps from one set I could use.  I like how it turned out, simple and graphic especially with the paper from the Studio Calico Take Note 6x6 pad.

Saturday was busy and we did a lot but I ended up making this slot all about the Western Festival.  It was a fun outing.  We stayed away from the carnival rides and just walked around the park and looked at everything.  Simone of course wanted to play in the jumpy houses.  That evening Larry and I went out for Thai food and ended up hanging out at my sister in laws after.  She kept Simone while we had dinner which was nice.  Sometimes an hour away makes all the difference.

Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you back on Friday!
